What Does Istanbul Cost Per Day?
Majority of your expenses in Istanbul will be used within the very first day if you start traditionally with museums and touristical attractions. The rest of your days won't be eactly on the same rates on the contrary it will be much cheaper than you'd expect.
A Standart 1st Day Overview
Visiting Hagia Sophia (25 € / 29.28 $ / 1,270 ₺), Topkapi Palace (55 € / 65 $ / 2,750 ₺), and Basilica Cistern (38 € / 45 $ / 1,950 ₺). Lucikly the Blue Mosque is still free.

Food Expenses (Lunch & Dinner)
I persume you've made the right choice and had your hotel reservation as Bed and Breakfast so we already paid your breakfast within your accomodation expenses.
An avarage lunch costs 700-900 Turkish Liras (14-18€ or 16-20 USD) per person. I've made my lunch also for this price (I had a good meal with soup, and some kebab).
Dinner costed 1200 Turkish Liras (23€ - 27 USD) only for myself I went for a good option with Bosphorus view and had proper fish with salads including a drink and desert.
Transportation Cost
If I add the transportation which coasted only 200 Turkish Liras (4€-5USD) for entire day, and I went everywhere on a public transportation.

2–3–4–5 Days in Istanbul Budget
As I've mentioned before, I didn't created this content to mutiply to days or repeat the fails of the other pages. To answer the question Is Istanbul Expensive, we need to expand travel budgeting to day scenarios and shopping, unexpected payments etc.
2nd Day: Shopping & Local Exploration
For 2nd day, in my experience, most of the tourists roam and do shopping. I know that when words comes to shopping sky is the limit. Therefore I went to Grand Bazaar to get some ideas about price ranges, and observed what tourists are mostly interested.
Tourists are mostly making their purchases on clothing, especially shoes. Currently you can get a pair of brand shoe (likely fake, but looking very solid) for 1500 Turkish Liras (30 € - 33 USD).
For the same price you can get 5-6 t-shirt or shirts. When I checked some options for ladies, I've noticed which they can buy 2-3 dresses from the same price in total.
I'm not a magnet person but magnets are buttom 25 Turkish Liras (0,50€ - 0,60 USD), top 50 - 70 Turkish Liras (1€ - 1,50 USD) for a piece.
Food, Treats & Small Expenses
I've spent 1000 Turkish Liras (19,50€ - 22,50 USD) for a food near to Grand Bazaar which considerably with whole a lot of food, down to dessert and also 800 Turkish Liras (15€ - 18 USD) to ordinary shopping to Turkish Delight.
I also had a Turkish Coffee along with a good desert in somewhere I consider as local treasure.
Transportation & Daily Movement
I've used public transportation to get around, and fully spend the rest of my day in districts of Istanbul. During public transportation another 200 Turkish Liras (4€-5USD) gone.
I also made small expanses just for my own taste like local bakery stops, or getting freshly powdered Turkish coffee. The cost of these were only 450 Turkish Liras (9€-10USD).
I had a proper dinner and concluded my day as perfect can be with 600 Turkish Liras (12€ - 13,50USD) well spent only for myself.

What I Had at the End of the Day
